Former NFA Spokesman Austin Mgbolu Has Died

The former spokesperson of the Nigeria Football Association, Austin Mgbolu, has died. He died on Wednesday February 7th after a brief illness. Family sources revealed he had a major surgery in January and seemed to have been recovering . He however later suffered complications yesterday morning which forced his family members to rush him to the hospital but died in the hospital. His death came months after he buried his mother.

The deceased is popularly called “Booster”, Austin was until his death a senior staff of the Niger Delta Ministry in Abuja where he worked after serving under five past Presidents of the Nigeria Football Association: Emeka Omeruah (1993 – 1997), Abdulmumini Aminu (1997 – 1999), Anthony Kodjo Williams (1999), Dominic Oneya (1999 – 2002) and Ibrahim Galadima (2002 – 2006)?.
