Chrissy Teigen is a mom for the second time after the birth of her son Miles Theodore Stephens while she gushes over her healthy newborn, Chrissy Teigen has revealed the harsh reality of childbirth on her body.
The mother shared a picture of her healing postpartum body, as she stood with her four-day-old son cradled in her arms on Sunday night. Wearing hospital-issued medical mesh underwear, going topless to allow her baby to feed, she stood in her kitchen cooking dinner, her daughter Luna playing with a toy harp behind her.
Chrissy held a pear in a mesh wrap in her hand – a reference to a joke from Ali Wong’s new Netflix special about motherhood, which compares the underwear to the fruit packaging.
‘If you haven’t seen AliWong’s new Netflix special, you are bad at picking Netflix specials,’ she wrote.
Taking her typical no-nonsense approach, the supermodel had earlier tweeted: ‘I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don’t rip to your butthole. Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0.’
Chrissy was referring to perineal tearing, when a mother suffers a tear in their perineum that extends to or through the rectum during childbirth.
