South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka escaped death in a crossfire during a shoot-out in Midrand on Tuesday.
The singer took to Twitter to say she was not far from the shoot-out.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said two suspects were shot and one died on the scene. The other suspect was airlifted to hospital.
A handgun and an R4 rifle were found on the scene. Police officers were not injured.
